Village Connection Inc. is a 501©3 Organization serving in the Metro Atlanta, Georgia area and select surrounding counties.

Village Connection Inc. is dedicated to enriching and supporting the lives of children in foster care, foster parents, and social workers.  We do this by providing much needed resources, education, and love.

In 2019, Brandon & Everlean Rutherford started preparing care bags for the homeless in their community.  The care bags would include toiletries, food, and a blanket.  They became foster parents and during that process they realized that kids in foster care needed care bags as well instead of carrying around their belongings in trash bags. They started preparing love bags that included toiletries, a toy, and a learning item. They have decided to start this non-profit so that they could help even more people in need.

With a passion to help kids in foster care, this initiative lets them know that someone cares. We want to make a difference in their lives by allowing them to carry their belongings in duffel bags instead of trash bags. Each kid and teen duffel bag, known as a Love Bag, will include toiletry items, toys, books and a card.

With this initiative, our goal is to provide essential care items for those in need. Homeless Outreach is something that we take seriously, and our team is working to make a positive impact. Homeless Outreach bags, known as Care Bags will be provided to those who are homeless.  Bags will include toiletry items, socks, and a list of resources.

Caseworkers choose their line of work because they are passionate about the well-being of children. Yet we recognize that caseworkers often are overburdened with paperwork and have an extremely heavy caseload as well. With this initiative, our goal is to let them know how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Fostering Education Scholarship Fund

The Fostering Education Scholarship Fund was established by Village Connection, Inc. and Innovative Fitness for the purpose of providing scholarships to children who are aging out of foster care and lack the funds needed to attend college. We are seeking like-minded partners who are willing to support our aging out of foster care population by making a funding commitment to the Fostering Education Scholarship Fund.
